Local Authority Approvals

When extending your home it is important to consider the requirements for Planning Permission and Building Regulations laid down by the Local Authority.  Many projects are able to be undertaken under the terms of Permitted Development Rights and are exempt from Building Regulations.  We offer advice on all aspects of the planning process and can act as your agent to obtain Planning Permission and/or Building Regulation approval.

The replacement of windows and doors in your home is now covered by Building Regulations, which specify requirements for thermal insulation, use of safety glass and ventilation.  F.T.P. Ltd is an accredited member of FENSA, an organisation which independently inspects the work of installation companies.  This ensures that your installation is compliant with Building Regulations and that all necessary public liability insurances, guarantees and insurance backed warranties are in place.  A certificate of compliance with Building Regulations, generated through FENSA, is an essential legal document, required when selling your property.  Our membership of FENSA and policy of using the highest quality materials ensures that your windows and doors will give years of service and enhance the value of property.

Your conservatory is an important addition to your home, which is why it’s vital that we can guarantee quality.

Our own team of installers, not sub-contractors, will construct your conservatory or fit your doors and windows. Our installers work efficiently and tidily and take great pride in maintaining high standards of workmanship.
